Steal Kate Winslet’s Golden Globes style here
We love Stella McCartney’s ‘Illusion’ dress. But we’ve seen it on so many celebrities and in magazine editorials that for us it’s starting to lose its lustre just a little bit. The latest celeb to be spotted in the dress is Tess Daly (not keen on the hair!) who wore the risqué number on Strictly Come Dancing. We think we like Kate Winslet and Liv Tyler wearing the dress best.
And if you still love the dress (we do and it looks great on everyone) there is a great top in Mango for just £19.99 – team it with a black pencil skirt and you have a pretty good look-a-like for not much money at all!
We feel obliged to bring you an Emmy Awards dress round-up, although we prefer more day-to-day looks!
Vibrant red gowns were definitely the order of the day (our favourite was Lea Michele’s Marchesa number) but Gwenyth Paltrow’s daring Pucci outfit was the most interesting. Showing off your stomach – do or don’t?
Can you believe Stella McCartney’s 40?! We love her style, vegetarian outlook and every season she produces an ‘investment piece’ we need. Mixing sharp tailoring, luxurious fabric and the odd flowing dress, Stella creates some of the most wearable collections on the catwalk that are directional yet completely useful for a few seasons – she helped reinvent the trouser suit for girls- kudos!
A red carpet favourite this autumn, Stella’s polka dot tastefully sheer and seductive dress has spawned a million high street copies and was first seen on Kate Winslet (maybe!) We’ve certainly spotted Kate in Stella’s illusion dress at The Venice Film Festival.
My all-time Stella favourite though is a fruity number from a collection in 2000, that made everyone’s favourite fruit the pineapple.
Helping Stella celebrate her birthday milestone were all the usual stylish suspects from around London’s fashionable Primrose Hill area. Enjoy.
Madonna’s one-off Vionnet butterfly dress has stolen the fashion spotlight at The Venice Film festival so far but we think there’s a new contender – Keira Knightley.
Promoting her new film, A Dangerous Method, Keira wore a daring Mary Katrantzou printed dress, bringing drama to a classically shaped and demure dress. It’s our new lust-have although there will certainly be no high street copy-cat versions that come close to emulating the interest of this dress.
