Some films and TV shows have an influence on style long after they were released and Clueless is definitely one of them.
Showing my age here, it was released when I was 13 and everyone wanted to be Cher and although I’m now considerably older (boo) when I look at a tartan skirt I still think Clueless. So this season, why not channel your inner Cher and rock one of the awesome plaid and check mini-skirts that are all over the shops? Hint: saying ‘whatever’ is probably not a good response in college/the workplace but we still agree that Alaia, is like, ‘a totally important designer’ – some things never change.
P.S. if you have a favourite film character whose style you want to steal – just upload the pic to www.snapfashion.co.uk and we’ll show you similar items of clothing that are inthe shops now.
The second installment of JW Anderson’s collaboration with Topshop hits lands tomorrow and we’ve picked our favourite pieces.
We scooped a few pieces from the first drop including an A-line tortoise print skirt, which our CEO and Founder Jenny wore on holiday in the Caribbean, a very practical white shirt and a short pleated navy kilt, which I have pretty much lived in all winter teamed with chunky knits, tights and boots…it’s like my new school uniform.
But the second collection, while it has staples such as the perfectly tailored shirts and graphic jumpers like last time, feels a little more ‘fashion’ and less ‘uniform’. The check knit separates with tassels are definitely on my ‘want’ list and I adore the super sugary lilac pieces with frills- totally SS13.
Here are our top 5 pieces. What have you got your beady eyes on?
