  1. Chloe Sevigny for Miu Miu

Miu Miu is one of our favourite labels at Snap Fashion and we also love Chloe Sevigny’s strong personal style. So I’m a little puzzled about why I don’t like this campaign more. It is strong and thoughtful but for some reason I’m not 100% sold.

Maybe it’s the clumpy shoes that bring back bag nineties memories, or the extreme-ish haircut, or the clashing prints, but I think it’s because these clothes are really challenging. I can’t see myself wearing them or them fitting into my wardrobe.  Do you like this advert?

  2. Girls on Film: Melissa Joan Hart as Clarissa

Oh the nineties- Dr Marten boots, leggings, clashing prints, tie dye, Keith Haring, denim jackets, printed jeans and big pendant necklaces…on wait, that’s kinda like ‘now’ too. So perhaps it is time to resurrect a former fashion hero of ours –Melissa Joan Hart as Clarissa Darling (you know the tune if you’re a child/teen of the nineties!)

A word of caution – some of these looks are probably a little too much but aside from Kate Moss and various cool indie chicks, I think Clarissa is one of the decade’s (less appreciated) icons.

  3. How to print clash

I spend a lot of time reading blogs and slightly less-commercial or foreign fashion magazines (geek) and stumbled across this editorial from Wonderland starring Charlotte Free. This spring print clashing is back (again) and this shoot by Elena Redina for the Nov/Dec 11 issue takes it to a whole new level. Serious inspiration – although I don’t think I’d attempt anything similar for a dash round the supermarket.

    Perfect symmetry

Rainbows + bugs = surprisingly awesome

Love everything about this image (minus the fighting animals!)
