Hedi Slimane’s latest collection for Saint Laurent has received mixed reviews – already! But there’s no doubt that his groupie grunge/girl-with-the-band styled collection is perfect for Kate Moss…the ultimate 1990s icon with cool credentials.
So just one day after the Saint Laurent body stockings (I think that is the correct term) hit the catwalk, Kate is wearing one at Hotel Shangri-La for the CR Fashion Book Issue 2…and wearing it well…although the back of this ensemble is risqué.
Check back later for Paris’ latest take on the groupie grunge trend.
Hot off the catwalk!

Rest assured we’ll bring you a Top 10 outfits of Paris Fashion Week,(have you caught up with Milan?) but we adore these images from Vivienne Westwood’s SS13 presentation starring Georgia May Jagger.
We loved the tiara, throne, antique-style lace, heavy, almost medieval embroidery and milky sparkle that looks so incredibly regal! It’s a far cry from her sexy poses for Hudson Jeans and Roberto Cavalli.
Good news for those of us living in moderately chilly countries (or with rubbish summers), you can comfortably invest in a statement jumper as it will carry you through the winter too…just go easy on the pastels!
Wallets rejoice – metallics are still hot for AW12 so keep hold of all your sparkly favourites to re-style later this year.
Yes you’ve guessed it, there were sequins at Elie Saab but mirrored panels at Miu Miu and shards of crystal at Chanel as well as plenty of shiny silk, metallic brocade, delicate foiled finishes and smooth fabrics with a subtle metallic weave in precious metal and mineral-inspired shades. The message? Shiny is good in different textures and it’s for the day-time too.
Celine has tried (and perhaps managed) to remove some of the unfashionable stigma of white heels this Spring and the all-white look is set to carry on through winter (yes even the shoes apparently). Personally I love the white tuxedo-style ensembles. So for those who would like to be a snow queen…behold!
Celine. J'adore.
Futuristic at Mugler
Streamlined and businesslike at Roland Mouret
See by Chloe
I couldn't resist- I love the cobalt touches on this crisp shirt by Stella McCartney
Thank you Paris our prayers have been answered. So many girls chase trends (us included) and spend hours putting together the perfect ‘going out’ ensemble, when the classic little black dress makes us feel great each time. After a long absence from the catwalk, we spied some beautiful examples of perfect LBDs. Want!
Classy Dior
Chanel goes a little spacey - I'd lose the trousers and stick to high court shoes but Kagerfeld must know best!
Effortlessly sexy at Isabel Marant
Sheer perfection at Nina Ricci
I love the classic shape of this Roland Mouret number
We’re trying to think of when tapestry was last cool – maybe in the 1970s thanks to Carole King? But this coming winter we’ll be going crazy for it and old wallpaper-esque prints with metallic touches, brocade and intricate beaded and lacy detailing. You have been warned. Time to redecorate!
Amazing craftmanship from Balmain
My favourite look -Carven
Tapestry-tastic at Valentino
Medieval influences meets punk - yeah, Vivienne Westwood of course
From flouncy florals at Nina Ricci and Cacherel, to pale pastels at Roland Mouret, Dior and Alexander McQueen, there were some cute feminine pieces at Paris Fashion Week – much less about the punchy digital floral prints of London and more focused on some Parisian romance, with references to yester-years from almost puritanical cuts to 1940s and 1950s lady-like silhouettes.
Soft pleats at Dior
Futuristic but frothy at Alexander McQueen
Love the colour and cut of this Roland Mouret ensemble
We have got the best PFW round-up coming your way this weekend but until then sparkly eyebrows and some less challenging Chanel deats. The weird thing is, Ke$ha might have beaten Karl Lagerfeld to this trickiest of micro trends. Voila!

Miranda Kerr debuts the eyebrows!

We’re weren’t a-bloggin’ this time last year so SS12 was our first official fashion week- and there was plenty of drama. Here are our top 5 fashion moments (we’ll be waxing lyrical about our favourite looks post NYE festivities!)
Versace has had a big year and one of 2011’s best-known models, Lyndsey Wixon had a real catwalk moment after falling over in some extremely high underwater-themed Versace platforms. We love how she got up, smiled and punched the air.
We love Lyndsey!
3-Lana Del Ray x Christopher Kane
We are crazy for Lana Del Rey (her look and magical music) and we first heard it at Christopher Kane’s show, where the combination of clothes, super long runway and choice of track made for a memorable fashion moment.
Maybe it’s my childish sense of humour but the Balenciaga bench collapse at PFW made me giggle. While the Art Deco-inspired collection was amazing, it was like an extra fashion show seeing what Anna Wintour et all were wearing.
Guaranteed standing ovation at Balenciaga (pic: FashionFoieGras)
