  1. Heavenly 7: Oscars dresses

So we’re a little behind, but for those who can’t get enough of Hollywood glamour, here’s our Oscars edit and it includes some dresses that the critics panned. Oh well.  P.S. We missed Kristen Stewart and Maggie Gyllenhaal :(

  2. LFW day2/3: Stella McCartney vs Mulberry

Both shows were packed with celebs, drama and were one of LFW’s hottest tickets so how did Stella’s starry dinner compare with Mulberry’s magical woodland?

    Mulberry: yetis + monsters!

Halloween came early at Mulberry as monsters, yetis and Where The Wild Things Are inspired outfits were de rigour…as well as some elegant gowns and sensational printed parkers – my new lust-have.

You’ll be wearing furry gilets and jackets belted at the waist with thick woolly items and sleek lady-like skirts teamed with heeled hiking boots (dig them out from Winter ’10). Tangerine and burnt tones with brown and black zigzags, mixed textures and quilting made up the outdoorsy winter-wear, while star prints and subtle multicoloured metallics will make winter sparkle in due time.

We also glimpsed the new Del Rey bag, aptly carried by Lana in ostrich white.

Guest list: Laura Carmichael and Michelle Dockery (Downton Abbey) sat alongside Michelle Williams, Elizabeth Olsen, Lana Del Rey, Pixie Geldof, Azealia Banks, Olivia Palermo, Pixie Lott, Anna Wintour…impressive!

    Super frow!

Mulberry Del Rey - love it?

    Love this starry metallic look

    A hybrid look

    Delicate evening wear

    Cute monster chocs!

    Stella: dinner for hundreds

According to Vogue the celebs sat down to a tasty veggie dinner chez Stella while models wafted around, then at 11pm a famous magician entertained the crowd by apparently hypnotising Alexa Chung before balancing her on three swords. And it got weirder…a model started screaming, waiters dropped their trays and a flash mob ensued with models carried in on chairs. To hell with a catwalk!

Guest list: Rihanna, Kate Moss, Yasmin Le Bon, Minnie Driver, Anna Wintour, Bill Nighy, Alison Mosshart, Alexa Chung, Mario Testino and many more.

After all the drama, guests finally got to see a capsule collection of evening wear complete with amazing costume jewellery before the big reveal in Paris next week. And there’s no pics yet!

  4. Rainclouds + Ruffles: Michelle Williams + Rooney Mara

We’re bracing ourselves for an onslaught of sequins, feathers and ball gowns…it’s almost Oscars and Baftas time after all. So we were pleased as punch to see Michelle Williams and Rooney Mara looking tres chic in a non glitterball way for the Academy Awards Nominations Luncheon at The Beverly Hilton hotel.

It appears that Michelle is becoming a bit it a Victoria Beckham devotee and is that more Lanvin that Rooney is rocking? We love them both.

  6. Lady Gaga vs Marilyn Monroe

    Lady Gaga vs Marilyn Monroe

We have to give props to Lady Gaga and her fashion feats of the last year. She truly is a trend chameleon. From tottering in Noritaka Tatehana heel-less platforms and wearing sky-high beehives to that meat-dress, Gaga has also tried on  Audrey Hepburn, Cousin IT and arguably Madonna’s styles…and now she’s channelling Marilyn Monroe.

Of course Gaga isn’t the only celeb who has dressed up as Marilyn of late as Michelle Williams is currently starring in film, My Week with Marilyn.

  8. Hollywood Film Gala: 3 best dressed celebs

Celebrity A-listers were out in force for the Hollywood Film Gala dressed in their finery for the red carpet (unlike Megan Fox) so without further ado here are our 3 favourites: Carey Muligan, Rosie Huntington-Whitely and Michelle Williams.

  9. Celebrity trend: Wear S/S12 NOW!

…No we don’t mean wearing flip flops in winter (but shorts are fine!)

We were glued to the S/S12 fashion weeks and got incredibly excited at the prospect of floral prints, pretty pastels, crisp white dresses, seaside and underwater-inspired collections and so much more…but then got back to the business of dressing for this season.

But now so on planet celebrity where it counts to be ‘first’ (and Hollywood is very probably quite a lot hotter than London!)

We got so excited when we spotted Sienna Miller wearing Matthew Williamson just a couple of weeks after London Fashion Week but The Telegraph has surpassed us by spotting plenty more famous folks wearing next season’s collections…Burberry, Jil Sander, Prabal Gurung, Jason Wu, Calvin Klein, Mary Katrantzou and Christian Dior.

    Amanda Seyfried in Parbal Gurung

    Anna Wintour in Burberry

Anna dello Russo in Stephen Jones for Jil Sander

    Hailee Steinfeld in Mary Katrantzou

    Kirsten Dunst in Derek Lam

    Naomi Watts in Calvin Klein

    Michelle Williams in Christian Dior

  10. Get Miu Miu style for £40

We LOVE Miu Miu, especially the brand’s obsession with bird prints and so it was no surprise we fell in love with its super wearable and flattering midi dresses – which would flatter pretty much any body shape and are especially handy for pear shapes.

The good news is that ASOS has done some wonderfully Miu Miu-inspired midi dresses of its own and they look pretty similar to the real McCoy. Voila – instant Autumnal style!

As you can see Mango does a pretty nifty copy print-wise too

SO useful for work and play - ASOS midi dress in 40s print £40 (how apt!)
