  1. Top 5 best dressed: People’s Choice Awards

The starlets were out for the People’s Choice Awards and the unofficial dress code seemed to be neon – now!

I’m not sure that we’ve ever had Paris Hilton in our ‘top 5 best dressed’ feature before but she looked great in a Mary Katrantzou dress (although pointy courts would have been my choice over heavy platforms). Joining the bright print club was Emma Watson who wowed in Peter Pilotto.

We adored Lea Michele’s fresh neon lace look in Elie Saab and Chloe Moretz’s eye-popping Simone Rocha floral number.

Taylor Swift chose to forgo brights and a short hemline by wearing an incredibly elegant dress by Ralph Lauren Collections – notably not accessorised with Harry Styles. After all, his slightly grungy tattooed boy band look would have clashed and that just wouldn’t do.

    Emma Watson OWNS Peter Pilotto!

Sunglasses – NOW! Chloe Moretz shocks in Simone Rocha

Classic plunge dress of the night goes to…Taylor Swift!

  2. Celebs wear white

It’s as if a dress code has gone out in celeb land to wear white dresses all of a sudden, whether it’s on TV shows or the Cannes red carpet. Which is your fav?

Cheryl Cole + Cameron Diaz wear white to the London premiere of What To Expect When You’re Expecting (Cheryl wore Victoria Beckham)

Diane Kruger looks stunning at the Killing Me Softly premiere in Cannes

Lea Michele dares to bare on David Letterman’s Late Show

  3. Coachella: best-dressed celebrity remix

Who wore what at Coachella (and the Mulberry party at Coachella – natch)? We spotted a lot of animal print, black, feathers and studs – so what you would expect from Hollywood’s coolest stars letting their hair down at a gig or two. Some serious festival inspiration for us all!

Emma Watson's cool gang of festival goers. Bringing back the gold hoop earring?

Eew PDA alert! But we forgive Joshua Jackson + Diane Kruger because we LOVE her outfit!

Kate Bosworth = my festival style crush

Lea Michele and Lauren Conrad - I like the classic choice of glasses

Lindsey Lohan is out and about again!

  4. Best dressed: People’s Choice Awards

Another day another awards show. Who cares who won what; let’s just check out the dresses.

It was all about Spring’s mellow yellow shade last night when Elizabeth Olsen wore Emilio Pucci and Elle Fanning looked cute in a Rodarte sunflowers dress.

Miley Cyrus rocked the futuristic fabrics trend in a daring David Koma dress, while Lea Michele opted for a roaring twenties fringed frock by Marchesa.

The other colour contender of the night was a vibrant green, as worn by Chloe Moretz and Emma Stone – in the form of a cute tux. Which is your favourite look?

    Elle Fanning rocks Rodarte's sunflowers

Chloe Moretz looks excited to be joining team green!

    LOVE Emma Stone's tux

Love the futuristic detailing on this David Koma dress - go Miley!

  5. New Year’s Eve come early: premiere pics

I’m just going to say it…New Year’s Eve does not look like my kind of film but that doesn’t stop me from picking my best-dressed celebs on the red carpet last night!

There was nothing mind-blowingly on-trend but some pretty sparkly numbers and Valentino was well represented!

Jessica Biel looks pretty in a Valentino gown

Abigail Breslin looks good- but could have more fun with her dress?

Lea Michele also dazzles in Valentino

My fav: Michelle Pfeiffer in aubergine Dolce & Gabbana

  6. Awards overload part 2 : Cosmo + Glamour US

Next up is Cosmo’s Ultimate Women of the year Awards 2011

This one had awards for members of the public, such as Ultimate Survivor and Ultimate Love Story but awards went to celebs too.

    Celebrity winners:

    • Ultimate Theatre Star: Amanda Holden
    • Ultimate Newcomer: Michelle Dockery
    • Ultimate Music Star: Jessie J
    • Ultimate TV Actress: Lauren Socha
    • Ultimate Style Queen: Daisy Lowe
    • Ultimate Writer: Caitlin Moran
    • Ultimate Celeb Men of the Year: JLS
    • Ultimate Icon: Debbie Harry
    • Ultimate US TV Actress: Blake Lively
    • Ultimate Film Star: Mila Kunis

Guests were not as ‘high fashion’ as the Harper’s do on the whole, but we liked Jamila Jamil and Cher Lloyd’s tangerine outfits and Kelly Rowland’s super glam gown.

Cher in Aqua Couture + Office shoes (like the fringing)

Jamila Jameel in Vivienne Westwood corset dress + Kate Spade Farrah clutch. Shoes from Aldo.

XFactor's Kelly Rowland glams up in Maria Grachvogel gown

Over in the US, The Glamour Women of the Year Awards have been in full swing and the fashion theme seemed to be full-on ball gowns and maximum leg bearing. It was all very glam in an obvious way and even Emma Stone (who we love) picked a golden dress in a departure from her kooky-meets-glam style. We thought that this do was more about prom bling than high fashion – do you agree?

Oh Emma! We miss your individual style!

Jennifer Lopez leads the leg-bearing brigade

  7. Lea Michele wears ASOS ‘top’ to American Horror Stories premiere

One half of Snap Fashion loves Glee (the other half – me – finds it cheesier than Wotsits) but we both agree that Lea Michele’s had some hits and misses on the red carpet – understandable as she’s trying to define her style and separate her look from her character Rachel’s ‘youthful’ wardrobe.

So what do you think of this red carpet ensemble? We’re not sold on it (but would it look great on anyone? We’re not saying Lea’s not amazing looking!)

Her dress is in fact a top from ASOS, although admittedly a long-ish one. Her boots are seriously high end – Brian Atwood ‘Cohen’ ankle boots - but just don’t get enough attention!

    In the navy

'High Neck Cut Out Top' from ASOS - tricky to pull off?

What can we say? We love Lea in super elegant dresses, like the one she wore to the Hogan party this week or her stunning red Marchesa number at the Emmy Awards.

Spot by Red Carpet Fashion Awards – kudos!

  9. Glee girls dazzle + Gwenyth Paltrow shows her stomach at Emmy Awards

We feel obliged to bring you an Emmy Awards dress round-up, although we prefer more day-to-day looks!

Vibrant red gowns were definitely the order of the day (our favourite was Lea Michele’s Marchesa number) but Gwenyth Paltrow’s daring Pucci outfit was the most interesting. Showing off your stomach – do or don’t?

Glee star Lea Michele looked marvellous in Marchesa

Vampire Diaries' Nina Dobrev vamped it up in Donna Karren

    Kate Winslet chose Elie Saab

Gwenyth Paltrow picked Pucci - check out those abs!

Another hit for Elie Saab - we LOVE Emily Blunt's dress

Kelly Osbourne wore a J Mendel in a kind of punky plum

Christina Hendricks dazzled in Johanna Johnson - very old school Hollywood - Mad Men's Joan would be proud!

Glee's Diana Agron stood out in Roksanda Ilincic

  10. Glee kids promo FNO

Gleek alert! Everyone’s fav musically-minded high schoolers have gone all ‘fashion’ to promote Vogue’s forthcoming Fashion Night  Out (FNO to those in the know) by re-working David Bowie’s ‘Fashion’ – how apt.

We’re not much of a fan of the re-mix (BIG Bowie fans) but do love the looks esp Lea Michele and Diana Agron’s metallic outfits.

Agron (Quinn) looks great with her shorter hair and eye-catching Marc Jacobs super-sized sequin skirt, while Lea (Rachel Berry) sparkles in Balmain and vampy red lipstick.

But the most suprising transformation? Artie Abrams (actor Kevin McHale) has ditched his wheelchair and can magically dance! Oh the power of some designer threads!

We love The Telegraph’s comments: “We knew Anna Wintour was all-powerful, but had no idea her capabilities extended to healing the sick.” Quite!

Fancy yourself as a Rachel? Check out this Topshop sparkly number – a bit like Balmain but on a budget!
