  1. Lanvin’s 82 year-old cover star

Fashion legend Alber Elbaz has taken the brave decision  to cast ‘real people’ in the AW12 campaign for Lanvin and the first pic to be seen includes 82 year-old Jacquie ‘Tajah’ Murdock rocking a perky peplum.

He told reportedly fashion bible WWD: “I was interested to bring these clothes back to the street somehow, and seeing how they look on different ages, different sizes. It felt like a crazy family, and I like that.”

Do you like it? We’re intrigued to see the other pics.

  3. Royal Mail’s fashion-conscious stamps

It’s very rare that you can get your hands on ten designer fashion items for under a fiver, but Royal Mail has released a limited edition collection of fashion stamps with ten high-end designs from some of our favourites -and we plan on stocking up.

Amazingly, despite the speed of fashion blogs and the constant evolution of fashion trends, the fashion world loves a letter. Invitations to fashion shows are imaginative and lavish and almost always arrive by post or courier…and we have seen some deliciously fashionable stationary too. In a world of emails and texts (believe us we’re not knocking technology for a second) receiving a letter on pretty stationary can still be awesome, especially if it comes on chic personalised Smythson stationary, for example. Will you be putting a stamp on your stationary with the Royal Mail collection?

  6. Rainclouds + Ruffles: Michelle Williams + Rooney Mara

We’re bracing ourselves for an onslaught of sequins, feathers and ball gowns…it’s almost Oscars and Baftas time after all. So we were pleased as punch to see Michelle Williams and Rooney Mara looking tres chic in a non glitterball way for the Academy Awards Nominations Luncheon at The Beverly Hilton hotel.

It appears that Michelle is becoming a bit it a Victoria Beckham devotee and is that more Lanvin that Rooney is rocking? We love them both.

  8. Best dressed: big awards round-up

Woah tis the season of lots of awards and therefore even more red carpet looks. It’s the Golden Globes tonight/tomorrow depending on where you live, so we better get this round-up done fast!

Miranda Kerr stole the headlines at W magazine’s pre Golden Globe party in a white plunging dress.  Dare we say it, while plenty of people looked super pretty, the dresses were a little ‘safe’. So here are our pick of the more interesting outfits, including Emma Stone’s peachy dress at the Vanity Fair party, Rooney Mara in Lanvin at the AFI Awards, plus Rachel Bilson and Kirsten Dunst at the Art of Elysium Heaven Gala. Enjoy!

My fav: Rachel Bilson in Chanel

Rooney Mara in Lanvin. This girl can't put a fashionable foot wrong!

Emma Stone looks peachy - We're not 100% sure this dress works with her colouring but it is different compared to a zillion body-con numbers!
