Gwen Stefani is pretty in pink
After this season’s sugary overload we thought we’d had enough of pretty pastels, but then we saw this shoot with Gwen Stefani in Harper’s Bazaar for a late sugar high.

So it’s that time of year again when the Halloween costume presents a sartorial challenge – how to do scary or witty whilst still looking fashionable, or at least vaguely attractive.
And every year it reminds me of the bit in Mean Girls (if you follow our blog you’ll know I have a soft spot for ‘bad’ films) which for me, sums up Halloween party dressing completely.
Tulisa was the only X-Factor judge who donned a Halloween Costume, Kelly Brook scored top marks for being very slightly imaginative, whilst the Hilton sisters, Petra Ecclestone, Jersey Shore’s Jwoww and Kim Kardashian all played the overtly sexy Halloween card.
And finally…this is probably the one I’d pick!
Now we’ve got even more celebrity costumes…enjoy and Happy Halloween!
Being a queen of fashion, Stella McCartney is allowed to have several birthday parties and her second bash at a pub in Notting hill certainly had a stellar turnout – Kate Moss, Olivia Harrison and Liv Tyler, joined Stella in rocking some statement trousers, while Cameron Diaz, Gwen Stefani and Gwyneth Paltrow kept it simple in black.
Meanwhile, those who didn’t opt for statement trousers looked great too.
In case you haven’t noticed, we like to give you catwalk round-ups with a theme- and so far we’ve brought you symmetrical prints, vintage, fancy monochrome, pastels and florals and stripes.
Former pop stars, Victoria Beckham and Gwen Stefani showed off their collections at New York Fashion Week as well as celebrity stylist, Rachel Zoe.
Tapping into the sixties trend, Gwen Stefani kept hemlines short and sweet at L.A.M.B. with a tough baby doll look stealing the show. Although Gwen was MIA for the proceedings (preferring to stay in sunny L.A. – we don’t blame her!) it was still a rock and roll affair with plenty of black, quirky prints and pops of bright colour- particularly in accessories. Amazing inspiration of how to pep-up everyday looks, the collection is super-wearable with leopard print dresses, stripy cardis and patterned capri pants plus shorts.

We know Victoria Beckham has expensive taste and her close-cut collection focused on clean lines and luxurious detailing.
Sophisticated dresses in navy and sable featured corset colour-block shapes as well as decorative seams. Perhaps taking tips from husband David Beckham, there was a strong sportswear influence too. The statement shift remains for Spring and box bags will earn their keep too- we love VB’s bright leather offerings.
Stylist to the stars, Rachel Zoe made her NYFW debut with another very wearable collection featuring strong prints on maxi dresses, tailored blazers and shorts, coupled with sheer feminine blouses. Channelling this style (just like we we copied Nicole Richie’s boho style and Mischa Barton’s once laidback luxe, created by the stylist) we can have a little Zoe effect in our own wardrobes.
