Discovery Monday: Aurelie Bidermann
Another jewellery-based Discovery Monday for you. I’m not sure why but we are obsessed with jewellery at the moment, which is strange as you won’t find much of it in the Snap office – we prefer to spend our cash on shiny new tech!
But we love Aurelie Bidermann’s delicate jewellery with a hint of hippie, which is perfect for the festival season and she is the queen of cool arm candy. The Summer SS12 collection features mid-western cuffs, feather-inspired turquoise shard designs and intricate floral bracelets with a twist that although expensive, would look amazing thrown on over a much-loved tee and shorts, or to make a black silk evening dress look a little edgy. There is something ancient and other-worldly about the designs – maybe it’s the use of gold and turquoise or the snake and scarab beetle motifs most beloved of the Aztecs and Ancient Egyptians.
