  1. Valentine’s Day wish list: the no hearts edit

Valentine’s style and gift guides are funny things. They’re either OTT with diamonds and couture, assuming everyone has dinner at the Ritz on the 14th of February and are proficient in ballroom dancing, or really childish where all girls are expected to dress in heart prints and secretly want to be Disney Princesses.

Now don’t get us wrong, there’s room for a bit of everything (apart from lingerie that would make Peter Stringfellow blush) but here’s our mini V-day inspired guide of ten things that we really like and just happen to be in that cheesy red/pink/purple palette.

These cool Nike Air Max trainers could make you fall in love with exercise. £95

It’s so true. Awesome tee £45 from Black Score

Everyone can be ‘head over heels’ with this Topshop blush – perfect for V-day and just £6.

Lucky in love – we adore these cute ladybird earrings from Kenneth Jay Lane £185

Super elegant shoes from Valentino…with studs, a pointy toe and an eye-watering price tag of £600 because love hurts!

One for Spring – it’s a little bit sporty and a little bit Marc Jacobs. Better still it’s only £25 from ASOS.

Treat yourself (or ask your bf) for some REAL Marc by Marc Jacobs. This iPhone case would make me smile every time I used it! 40

Almost all girls LOVE Mini Eggs right? So why not embrace this limited edition lilac polish by Illamasqua £14.50

Pop it in this cute bag? Just £19.99 from Zara.

  3. Trending: Hats with ears

We’re crazy for animals at Snap Fashion so any excuse to wear ears in the name of fashion is seriously great news. Louis Vuitton’s rabbit ears of previous season? Love. This season’s thing with cat ears – see Poppy Delevingne for inspiration? Brilliant. And now there is a continuing trend for woolly hats with ears. Cute and cosy, what more could be ask for?

Last year the high street was awash with amazing animal hats with faces- there was a popular panda one with pom pom ears, while the Founder and CEO opted for a cute husky beanie instead. But this year it’s all about the ears and ears only!

We love this chunky wool hat by Felix. At first glance it looks sophisticated in a weekend way, but then you notice the ears and ergo develop a sense of humour too. I have long had my beady eye on an awesome leopard-print hat with tiny ears from H&M and there will be more to choose from shortly. Here are some of our favourites…

    Miaow! Poppy Delevingne

Oysho Cat Beanie Hat £15.99 from ASOS

    H&M leopard hat just £7.99

Eugenia Kim felix chunky knit wool beanie £117 from net-a-porter

  4. Top 5: Prada + geometric print trousers

Miuccia Prada is responsible for so many wearable trends that have translated brilliantly onto the high street in recent years. And this coming season is no exception as shoppers clamour to get their hands on flattering cropped trousers with a distinctive geometric print.

A natural successor to the pyjama pant and the art deco trend, the head-to-toe print look appeared fairly daunting on the catwalk, but do not be deceived, we reckon it would be your new best friend for the office.

While daring fashionistas can rock the whole match-matchy printed shebang, consider a printed geometric trouser with a tailored white skirt and plain jacket to let the trousers do the talking! Luckily you’re spoilt for choice and by matching some work wear staples with a new pair of trousers, could get a distinctly on-trend new season look for less than £50.

Here are our Top 5 favourites. Happy shopping!

    The real deal

Tile Print Skinny Trousers from Topshop £40

Styling idea from Warehouse. Trousers £45

Party trous! Jacquard loom trousers £39.99 from Zara

  5. Discovery Monday: Simeon Farrar for ASOS

Illustrator Simeon Farrar’s hugely successful Kate Mouse tshirt is back again, this time as part of an exclusive collection for ASOS. Of course a t-shirt makes up part of a super easy outfit for summer, making a statement t-shirt a solid investment.

There are 12 designs in Farrar’s collection for ASOS and all feature woodland animals – a big trend for this Autumn. We still adore the Kate Moss tee, which has sold out before so you better move fast!

  7. The thigh’s the limit – extreme leg baring celebs!

  8. Accessories Make You Smile

One thing that gets us through the daily commute is looking at other people’s handbags, seeing the latest designer styles paraded on the Underground (we still want to go to the Hermes factory!)  There are some bags that seem to smile across the train though, so Snap Fashion is proud to present (brace yourselves…) our finest collection of bags with faces!

Love the neon detailing on this Aldo Hipps bag. £50 (but on sale at ASOS at the moment for £25, our little secret)

I bet you never thought you’d see these two in the same sentence, right? Well, the link lies in pineapples and palm trees, sported by these lovely ladies in My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding…and favoured by super stylish Stella McCartney.

Stella’s SS12 collection features an abundance of palm trees and one of her most iconic outfits that made her name as a designer, featured a palm tree. And guess what? The high street is going crazy for our fav tropical fruit and foliage too. Enjoy x

    "She's a pineapple..." (one of Stella'searly collections)
