Happy Birthday Chloé!

Joyeux anniversaire! Super cool French luxe brand Chloé turns 60 this year (making it one stylish OAP) and what better way to mark this magical milestone than with a topnotch catwalk show at Paris Fashion week and a stunning campaign for its AW12 collection.

Back to the catwalk. Clare Waight Keller did an amazing job of the SS13 collection, which stayed true to the brand’s fresh, fun and chic aesthetic with slick tailoring and lots of femininity. I loved it, but then Chloé is one of my all-time favourite brands and I adore the relatively recent addition of See by Chloé, which is a great way to pepper your wardrobe with some more affordable je ne se quois!

The fashion house is putting on an exhibition to celebrate called ‘Chloé: Attitudes’ at Paris’ at Palais de Tokyo,’ which I wish I could get to. It brings together collections from under the creative direction of some of the industry’s biggest stars, including Karl Lagerfeld, founder Gaby Aghion, Stella McCartney and of course effortlessly cool Phoebe Philio (my personal favourite era).

Fear not if you can’t skip over to gay Paris, there is a website to go with it called Alphabet. Why? It’s after Gaby’s idea of naming her collections in alphabetical order- handy! Yes, there are gorgeous vintage sketches, adverts and photos and in a super cute way, another letter is added each day.
